American orphan?

This stub is the only article that links History of the English language (education), about a school subject. As "HEL" that subject may be limited to US graduate schools, perhaps in the past, and the article seems to be limited thus. Certainly the subject is taught elsewhere under other names.

Our article His genitive is the only other one that links here, citing Albert S. Baugh is one source.
