Notability

@Jochem van Hees: asking you as the page mover – do you think the contents is already notable enough to be moved back to mainspace now that we have the dates? Or do you suggest to wait for the artists to be announced? 〜イヴァンスクルージ九十八[IvanScrooge98]会話 14:06, 4 November 2021 (UTC)

Strictly speaking, looking at WP:EVENTCRITERIA, I think it certainly is not notable; you really cannot yet say that this is of lasting historical significance. There's also the chance that Albania for whatever reason suddenly withdraws from the competition (like what happened to Armenia last year). I guess all of that could also apply to some of the other articles; the only reason why I moved this one to draft space was because I was particularly annoyed by the lack of any content in it (see also my rant at WikiProject Eurovision). Now that it has actual info about Albania's 2022 participation, it is of course a bit different.
I think that in general, some potentially good advice comes from the second paragraph in WP:TVSERIES: In most cases, a television series or season is not eligible for an article until it has been confirmed by reliable sources to have started filming (excluding a pilot's filming). I'm not sure how to exactly translate that to a Eurovision participation, but I think it can help in deciding when to put an article about it in mainspace. ―Jochem van Hees (talk) 15:08, 4 November 2021 (UTC)

Not only are talk page discussions ignored again, it wasn't even a properly done page move. Well I guess discussing this a bit pointless now so I'll keep my frustrations for another day. ―Jochem van Hees (talk) 21:49, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
