Lead edit

  • Refs should be avoided in the lead per MOS:CITELEAD and be used in the main body of the prose
  • "organised the 58th edition of Festivali i Këngës in order to select" - the text in bold is unneeded
  • "announced the contest's cancellation due to the pandemic of the coronavirus (COVID-19)" - coronavirus disease 2019

Background edit

  • "Prior to the 2020 Contest," - contest doesn't need to start with a capital letter
  • "with Eugent Bushpepa finishing in eleventh place with "Mall" and Jonida Maliqi finishing in seventeenth place with "Ktheju tokës"." - try to change the second mention of the word "finishing" with a similar alternative word

Artist selection edit

  • "organised the 58th edition of Festivali i Këngës in order to select Albania's entrant" - the text in bold is not needed
  • "19 December and 20 December 2019 and the grand final on 22 December 2019." - the year does not need to be repeated twice in close succession if it is the same one
  • "It consisted of two semi-finals on 19 December and 20 December 2019 and the grand final on 22 December 2019." - this sentence is not mentioned by Eurovix. Please located a reliable source that explicitly mentions these dates
  • "however, submission process closed on 15 September 2019." - the submission process closed on September.
  • "The list of competing artists was released on 24 October 2019, and the songs were released on 9 December 2019." - same issue as the second query that I have raised in this section

Semi-finals edit

  • "They qualifiers were selected by a jury" - The qualifying songs
  • "a jury consisting of two national members and three international members with connections to the" - try to avoid mentioning the word "members" in the same sentence
  • Delink Eurovision Song Contest since it is already linked earlier in the article
  • "In regard to the shows, the first semi-final was opened by the country's 2019 Eurovision Song Contest entry Jonida Maliqi performing her song" - reduce the amount of wikilinks per MOS:SEAOFBLUE

Final edit

  • "The twelve finalists were announced one day prior to the aforementioned date," - the day before
  • "on 21 December 2019." - the year isn't needed since it is mentioned in the first sentence of this paragraph

At Eurovision edit

  • "On 28 January 2020 at the allocation," - please state the building where the allocation took place
  • "the contest was cancelled on 18 March 2020." - the year is unneeded here since it is mentioned in regards due to the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic in Europe
  • "though each broadcaster would be able to send either their 2020 representative or a new one.[25]>" - the greater-than sign needs to be deleted

References edit

  • Reference 4 is a duplicate of Reference 24 and should be deleted
  • Reference 8 is missing the author of the article and the date it was published
  • References 10, 13, 14, 17 do not have the authors who wrote the respective pieces
  • The author of Reference 11 is not Wiwibloggs but Åri Agam
  • Reference 18 is missing the date it was published
