Alan's notabillity and discography

The link to Orpheusreborn does indeed reveal an impressive list of hits. I wasn't assuming he had no hit records, I just wanted to know what they were ("produced recordings that have achieved millions of dollars' worth of sales" is kind of vague). Alan Lorber is a name I'd heard a lot over the years, I was looking for some familiar music to which I can attach it. Wikipedia is usually a good one-stop shop for that kind of information, but in this case I'm just referred to some other link. Joinery1 (talk) 02:36, 19 March 2013 (UTC)

What did he produce?

This article states that Alan Lorber was the leading arranger and produced records that sold in the millions of dollars, yet there's no list of his hits that we might be familiar with. Joinery1 (talk) 12:59, 21 October 2011 (UTC)

After its removal, I've restored the copypaste template. Much of the article is copied from http://www.orpheusreborn.com/al.html; besides constituting a copyright violation, this is not a reliable source. Stubbed

I've stubbed the article since it was essentially a copyright violation of this page. Please do not paste content from websites into Wikipedia. I also removed links that were unrelated at best, or not specific enough to the subject, including the discography one. Document the discography here, or not at all. I don't know exactly how many people there are in the "team" that's editing this article (or why there is a team?), but please familiarize yourselves with the following policies: WP:BLP, WP:MOSBIO, WP:COPYVIO, WP:RS. Hey FreeRangeFrog, I understanding where you are coming from regarding the copyright material. I am a cyber security specialist; therefore, I work real hard to adhere to policy, and make sure others do the same. In regards to a team, I had a fellow teckkie help me with adding wiki links and minor edits. I just don't have time to concentrate on this fully with other events in my life. As I stated previously in one of my talks, Alan and are not related or acquaintances. I reached out to him to help after hearing his music and seeing his bio. He knew nothing about his wiki. Just be cognizance that some wiki pages are open, and people are free to add. This can be dangerous and not present an accurate picture. I welcome your advice; will continue to work on his content in the future to get it right. Thanks!

That's fine. I'm not saying you can't edit, just that you have to follow our policies when doing so, more so in the case of a biography. As for the conflict of interest, if there is none, we'll assume good faith and you can remove it from the top of the article. COI is a problem only in the sense that the editors who have it tend to have issues being neutral, which is another important part of any Wikipedia article.
