Alajuela vs. Ingrid
editWhile the Ingrid 38 has a keel weight of 8000 lbs, the Alajuela 38 has a keel weight of 10,000 lbs. Please refer to the Bluewaterboats.org data sheet which has the founder or the Alajuela Yacht Corporation listed as their data source. 75.174.195.118 (talk) 15:30, 26 June 2022 (UTC)
- All sources are going to be based on manufacturer's data, as there is no way for anyone else to determine parameters like ballast weight. For instance sailboatdata.com is based on factory brochures. Regarding the sources cited, here is what each one says:
- Blue Water Boats - 10,000 lbs
- sailboatdata.com - 8,600 lbs
- A Field Guide to Sailboats of North America, Second Edition - ballast not stated.
- Sailboat Guide - 4,536 kg (which is 10000.17 lbs)
- So based on that let's correct both the text and info box to 10,000 lbs, as right now the info box and text do not agree. - Ahunt (talk) 18:35, 26 June 2022 (UTC)
