I don't know which newspaper this ran in, but a clipping has survived which states that Thake's body was found on a beach in Staten Island, not Brooklyn. He died while fishing near Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn, which is located near what is now known as the Verazzano Narrows. Timothy Horrigan (talk) 15:26, 21 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
