I removed:

He is said to have had his sword broken when he defended Ali and Fatimah against Umar and was then sent away to Khalid ibn Walid Peshwar Nights Bukhari 82.817

That second reference has nothing to do with the supposed attack of Umar...; as for the first, it has been proven to be a forgery by many scholars. --- http://www.alinaam.org.za/library/dbeliefs/slegend_umar.htm http://www.ansar.org/english/beshawer.htm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peshawar_Nights

Well, the "proof" is questionable considering Michael M.J. Fischer reported on the authors death. Further, it would not even mater if the book was a forgery, i could make the exact same claims with the exact same reference, and it would be just as valid as if the book was not questioned. --Striver 20:00, 6 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Merger Proposal

I suggest that this article be merged into the parent article on the Ten Promised paradise since there is not enough verifiable, reliable sources to carry an article on this subject. Kyaa the Catlord (talk) 22:20, 11 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

A brief search through publications suggests a degree of notability.[1] Citation 38 in this source shows that there's an entry on him in the Encyclopedia of Islam - so there's definitely potential. I'll see if I can get my hands on it. ITAQALLAH 17:47, 12 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
The sourcing in this article is atrocious, its all personal and unverifiable sources that even in their about us pages suggest that their material is not reliable. For what apparently is a very important figure in the early history of Islam, this needs to be cleaned up badly. :( Kyaa the Catlord (talk) 14:24, 15 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Agreed. ^_^ ITAQALLAH 23:21, 16 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'm gonna be atrocious and remove all the unreliably sourced content (and that which isn't sourced at all). Any objections?Bless sins (talk) 19:13, 17 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
