Coin Photo

edit

Well, this article now has a picture of the coin. We may want to think about replacing it if we can get a nicer picture of the coin (less glare and scratches, etc). Bburton 23:02, 27 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

It'd be nice if we could, but you'd probably have to get one that hasn't been handed out yet, or has been sitting on some shelf somewhere. For those of us that have them, following tradition means keeping them on our person, possibly with the other challenge coins we've earned, leading to scratching and wear. Not including the occasional ding from being slammed on a bar table :P AmishCellPhone 03:48, 28 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

I may be able to help with that, my coin and my wife's coin are in pretty good shape. I havn't taken a long look at this article, but I think that I can help. I will need help though, becuase I am not wiki-savvy at all. I'm quite new at editing.Stevejsam (talk) 11:21, 11 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Initial Review

edit

I have read the article, and while it is entertaining, I would like to start a consensus as to the division of it. I think that it is one large run-on, and that it could stand to be divided into several sections. the last post on this talk page was in 2006, So.... Is anyone here and interested in firing this article up out of stub status?Stevejsam (talk) 11:26, 11 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

I have read through the sole source in this article, and it looks like a majority of the wiki article was lifted whole sale from the PACAF article. I think that most of the entire section regarding the tale of where the coin originated from needs to be removed, and that only a small selection of the myth of the birth of the coin should remain, with an in-line quotation.Stevejsam (talk) 01:44, 12 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Update needed

edit

Just looked at the article, and it's incredibly out of date. The coin's appearance changed quite a bit.

Does anyone know how to get the two photos next to each other at right instead of one above the other? RJFJR (talk) 16:36, 21 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
