Notability of the incident on 18 November 2009. edit

Is this incident really sufficiently notable? Incidents such as this are everyday occurences, if WP had to list them all we'd have no time to do anything else. There wasn't even any damage. Its trivial. Roger (talk) 18:34, 19 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

I edited it in to replace a copypaste of the Airlink press release. I have absolutely no objection to removing it if you think it's not notable. - htonl (talk) 18:56, 19 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Airlink HQ edit

As htonl pointed out, yes, it's in Joburg proper:

Page protection edit

I have requested full page protection for the page, to prevent two editors involved in an edit warring over contents to be blocked. Please discuss your differences here. Edit warring is strongly discouraged in Wikipedia.--Jetstreamer (talk) 16:36, 21 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

The matter appears to be settled, so protection is probably not needed at this time. Roger (talk) 17:19, 21 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
Ok, I will withdraw my request.--Jetstreamer (talk) 17:31, 21 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Accidents and Incidents edit

User:Dodger67 removed the engine failure incident because it did not meet the criteria in WP:AIRCRASH for inclusion in an article about an Airline. User:RaydenAG reverted the removal using WP:WHATABOUTX or WP:OTHERCONTENT as his/her/their justification. Objectively the incident does not meet WP:AIRCRASH and WP:WHATABOUTX are not sufficient grounds to revert the deletion. I believe the incident relating to the engine failure should be removed from the article. Wayne Jayes (talk) 06:17, 14 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Removed again, still per AIRCRASH - nobody died, no aircraft destroyed, no lawsuit, no regulatory consequences. An unremarkable inflight engine failure that resulted in a perfectly normal single-engine landing. Incidents of this type happen practically every day.
