What did you think of my article about air heaters? Do you have any suggestions as to what I could do to improve it? thanksMlrusch 17:47, 16 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
I'm fairly technical and I'll admit it's hard to follow. What's a "recuperative air heater"? Is an air heater just an air exchanger? Is it the opposite of an intercooler? Samw 00:52, 17 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
An air heater is a form of a heat exchanger, similar to a radiator or an intercooler like you mentioned. Instead of cooling its working fluid (air) an air heater increases the temperature of the working fluid. A recuperative air heater does not have moving parts to transfer thermal energy while a regenerative air heater does. Do you think it would be appropriate to change the article for better clarification?Mlrusch 16:27, 17 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Mlrusch, Wikipedia already has an article called Air preheater and has had it for quite some while. Why do you think we need another article? Perhaps, you should consider merging your Air heater article into the existing Air preheater article. I don't believe there is anything gained by having two articles on the same subject. Not happy with the Redirect edit

I really am not happy about the redirect from Air Heater to Air Conditioning!

Air Heater is a common term in Power Stations and other industrial plants. I would prefer to rename the Air preheater article than have a redirect.--Graham Proud (talk) 05:00, 19 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
