Station name
editJust wondering. Bukit Bintang, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Jalan Bukit Bintang, they are official names, and shouldn't be translated off to english. Correct or not? --Zack2007 16:57, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
- There is a reason for this here. Given the English Wikipedia frequently serves Anglo-educated readers, there are odds that most of them know little of basic phrases of the Malay language, as are other geographically similar languages such as the Thai language and Tagalog language. Gare du Nord and U-Bahn, for example, discusses primarily transit systems that are natively non-English, but include English translations anyway. - Two hundred percent 09:40, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
- Then, we'll include both, by english translation in bracket. Cheers. :) --Zack2007 10:18, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
Official name
editI know AirAsia has the branding name but the station name should remain as Bukit Bintang. Don't be too obsessed with that brand. 183.171.24.182 (talk) 14:43, 30 July 2016 (UTC)
Bukit Bintang Station is an interchange station
editIt would be better to merge the article on Bukit Bintang MRT Station (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bukit_Bintang_station) with this article and subsequently renaming it to "Bukit Bintang station". AirAsia-Bukit Bintang station is just a branding initiative. It's weird and confusing to have two different articles for what is essentially an interchange station operated by a similar company.
