>>She was the referent En Marche! in the Marne department during the presidential campaign of 2017. <<
What is the intended meaning of referent here? -- Picapica (talk) 06:03, 7 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
"En Marche" had no formal structures yet, so "les référents" (never used for another party, AFAK) were Macron's missi dominici in every département, in some way... Great Leader's representative among the "Province"/"Region" (the whole France outside Paris) would be a correct translation, but may be considered not neutral enough. --Minorities observer (talk) 07:09, 7 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Many thanks for that detailed explanation, Mo. Now I just need to think of a way of getting that as succinctly as I can into the article -- because it's important information, I think. Merci encore. -- Picapica (talk) 23:45, 7 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I was thinking of something along those lines too. I've now rewritten the Member of the National Assembly paragraph. Hope I've got all the facts right. -- Picapica (talk) 02:04, 9 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
