I would consider rewriting the reference to meth use in a more neutral light, as it seems too inflammatory right now.
Maybe I'm naive, but what exactly IS third-party slave trade? Why is it in the first paragraph and not in others?
- It was a change made some time ago from "illegal drug trade". Since "third-party slave trade" gets no Google hits at all (this article excepted) there's no reason not to change it back, so I have. Loganberry (Talk) 22:42, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

Afterhour club → Afterhours club – The opening sentence states that an Afterhours Club is "often misspelled as Afterhour Club". Since the title of the page is currently Afterhour club, I suggest retitling the page Afterhours club. 82.44.196.43 (talk) 09:15, 11 September 2011 (UTC)

Clubs? edit
To me an afterhours club is a locale that is permitted to serve alcohol to its members after the regular opening hours for bars and pubs. In some cases temporary membership may be even available at the door.
There are other places that may be allowed to serve alcohol after hours, such as restaurants, specially licensed bars, hotels etc., but these are surely not clubs.
Nightclubs are rarely clubs (that require membership), and often primarily for dancing. You can usually drink there, but it's often expensive and an adjunct rather than the primary point. A nightclub is a discotheque under a modern, perhaps more sophisticated sounding name.
Also, what's with "historic"? Does it mean that the nightclub was founded over a decade ago? regards Guffydrawers (talk) 15:22, 14 July 2021 (UTC)

Fabric and Egg London are not afterhour clubs, but "normal" clubs (technically: discotheques) that open at 23:59 and run 24 hours on weekends, like many electronic dance music venues and especially techno clubs in Europe. --Rio65trio (talk) 18:14, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for confirming and for tidying up. It seems that the term "after-hours club" means different things to different people, e.g. 1950s-1980s illegal drug dens in US cities, sedate late-night bars, small live music venues, huge dance halls, you name it.
