I really liked the lead! It gave good information and covered the topic well. These are just a few suggestions on ways to expand the article.

Under the history section, I would add more information on the inception of the festival. Possibly include more information on what Afropunk is, dating back to the 70s, and possibly other punk festivals that it drew inspiration from.

You should add a 2008-present section. Expand on the impact the festival has had, the fashion, the music, recent up-charge in prices (the festival was previously free), how people learned of the festival (social media, word of mouth, ect.), and expand on the significance. Also discuss the reception of the festival abroad and why it spread.

For future events, discuss who would be leading the festival and possible future partners.

These are just jumping off points, all of these need sources (as well as the rest of the points you made in your article). I would also link afro-punk in the lead, so that readers get a full history. Mary T. Brown (talk) 13:59, 28 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

There are also a lot of pictures on Afropunk festival,I would consider adding some to the article. It would enhance the viewer's understanding of the topic and a view of the culture. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mary T. Brown (talkcontribs) 14:04, 28 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
