I hope someone who has more expertise on Herodian than I do might take a look through this and make corrections -- in the absence of a well-stocked European library I'm not confident that I've successfully decoded all the ins and outs of Herodian's works, which is which, and the Latin titles. In particular,

  • If there are more customary titles used for H.'s works, either in Latin or in English, please do correct them!
  • Some of the info comes from Smith's 19th century dictionary, and I imagine many attributions have changed since then; I've only managed to track down one (Argyle's article about Cornelianus).
  • Standard editions -- I think I got the most standard ones but please check.

Thanks and good luck. Herodian sounds like a fiendishly inapproachable field of study! :-( Petrouchka 06:05, 1 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
