Merge with House Targaryen edit

I've suggested a merge with House Targaryen; some material could also be moved to the War of Conquest section of Wars in A Song of Ice and Fire. There's good information here, but most of it is about the history of the house or the war rather than the character himself, and I don't see any way for that to change with the level of detail we have- which is why we usually don't have pages on individual characters. I agree with a merge. Stripping away most of the information that belongs elsewhere, there isn't enough actual character information to justify a separate page. Give him a nice write-up in House Targaryen and leave it at that. Also, I see that Aegon's dragons have each been given their own stub page. If there's anything new in them, it should be merged into Aegon's write-up and the Dragons section in Westeros. -Captain Crawdad 20:22, 18 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
I don't think so because as it looks, the article isn't done yet and there will be much more info added. I would put a summary of Aegon I on the House Targaryen page. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by YaYa42 (talkcontribs) .
Most anything that gets added, like most of what's already there, will not be about the character, but about the family or the war, both of which are discussed on separate pages. An article loaded with redundant information isn't much of an improvement on a section elsewhere. Brendan Moody 20:18, 18 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Merge. This page is redundant and the reader is best served finding this information elsewhere. YaYa42, I suggest you come over to the Wikipedia:WikiProject A Song of Ice and Fire and sign up as a particapant to avoid the creation of future superfluous articles. You seem to have alot of great information and motivation and I know we could use your help over there! NeoFreak 20:26, 18 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Merge. Arbor 11:09, 19 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Merge. Not enough info for a seperate page, plus some of what is on here is somewhat speculative. For example, it is possible that the three dragons were still in eggs at the time of the Doom, explaining the lengthy wait the Targaryens endured before they invaded Westeros.--Werthead 13:01, 20 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Please note: This artilcle has been put up for AfD and the result was a Speedy Merge. This is the result from the admins and AfD process and is final. NeoFreak 12:23, 31 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

What to do about Yayauc edit

I am at a loss. Yayauc, you do add good material to WP, you write well, and you know your stuff, but please engage the other editors. So far, you show now sign of wanting to co-operate with others, and that simply won't work here. Arbor 07:46, 28 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

I've already left a message on his talk page, I hope he will respond. I'm at a loss as well. NeoFreak 10:55, 28 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
...and it would seem his reply to my request for dialouge was returned with a rather blunt "NO". That puts this on grounds for arbitration I'm afraid as he will not, as you said, engage in any dialouge with the other editors. NeoFreak 10:58, 28 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
I don't really refuse to respond. It's just i think you'll ignore me anyway. Yayauc90 09:24, 31 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Why would you think that? There is a laundry list of posts trying to get your attention whle you've been uploading mislabeled and illegal pictures, reverting everyone's edits, and ignoring a rock-solid consenses on articles. Your behavior at the Aegon I article and with the Amok images is unacceptable. Please participate in discussion and be respecful of other editors. Thank you for replying. No problem. Again i'm sorry. I tried to revert back to the redirect but the deletion notice won't let it change. Yayauc90 09:35, 31 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
