The Old Trivia Quiz

It was highly unnecesary and confusing, so I removed the quiz from the end of the articles. Challenges might be good fun, but Wikipedia is about presenting facts to people. ViceroyInterus 23:46, 25 December 2005 (UTC)

Apologies, I was merely disambiguating the various companies cited in the list of advertising slogans which had appeared as red links until then. Got carried away somehow. Dieter Simon 01:24, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

Create an advertisement for a product. Remember to include an effective slogan.

I fail to see the relevance of above two sentences. They fail to provide appropriate information on the topic being explained, and do not fit in to the What makes a effective slogan? section, so have therefore opted to remove both sentences. J S Firefox 15:46, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

Wiki slogan

I thought Wikipedia isn't supposed to refer to itself in articles? There is a Wiki slogan on this page, but I will leave it for now since I'm not positive on this one and can't find the rule. --75.183.4.32 01:02, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

Headline text

When... goes terribly wrong

In the bad slogans section it says: "When translating to another language goes terribly wrong..." That doesn't sound like a very encyclopedic sentence to me, sounds more like the crappy chain letters you get in your inbox. I'm going to delete that section for now until someone can think of a better way to incorporate it into the article.70.240.185.176 23:18, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

Well-known slogans

I have added this as a new section and I was going to redirect List of advertising slogans to it because it is on Wikipedia:Most missed articles. However, I was thwarted. Biscuittin (talk) 22:08, 11 February 2010 (UTC)

Suggest add, 'Impulse (psychology)' to See also list.

The following was noted recently, "The slogan of enlightenment is to think for yourself" -ABC Radio National,Philosopher's Zone Oct.22,2011.(They were talking about Moses Mendelssohn, but, I don't know if it's his actual quote). Maybe this can be added in the text, highlighting need for consumers etc. to decipher the advertisers 'prod and hook' and refer to PDS and the like.SignedJohnsonL623 (talk) 23:21, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
