Talk:Adult movie theater

Descriptive

edit

This is too descriptive and goes too in-depth about the activities going on within the theater--towards the end, the article reads like a manual for getting some. I think this article should be deleted, because a section could easily be slipped in to replace it under "theater", if at all. I can sum up the entire thing in one sentence: "An adult theater is a cinema in which adult films are shown, and patrons frequently engage in various sexual acts."

This seperation and discription must be. Otherwise you place serios actors and authors close to this kind of stuff.

The article actully slides into tlking about "arcades" in bookstores. SO - you have a point. IT MIGHT BE VALID TO MENTION THAT ARCADWS SOMETIMES, but not always, exist in adult theatres. WHILE ON THAT SUBJECT, I recently read that some arcades have at least one booth with a window allowing a view of the interior for exhibitionism. BUT I can't verify that. ALSO, the O'Farrell in San Fran is in bad repair and will not reopen post-Covid. The article is techbically wrong on the size of The Pussycat chain - it was a West Coast thing then the Mafia stole the name and logos for their NYC theatres. The West Coast owners did not contest that. You guess why. A FEW YEARS AGO, there was one Pussycat still operating on the West Coast as a gay theatre, rebranded as The Tom Cat. Student erotica

edit

Could I get some support over at the erotica article to keep the section on student erotica? Thanks! Student erotica 04:18, 16 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Merge from Adult video arcade

edit

Granted, physically the setups are different, but these two concepts are essentially the same and I see no reason not to merge, but explain them appropriately, in a single article. Since "arcade" is a bit of an archaic term, I chose to merge the "arcade" article into the "theater" one. --Scalhotrod - Just your average banjo playing, drag racing, cowboy... Mixed US and UK spelling of “Theater”

edit

Theater is used in the title but theatre is used in the body in many places. Shouldn’t there be consistency? GRALISTAIR (talk) 00:48, 11 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
