Expert attention request

I'm struggling to determine this person's general notability - the page supplies insufficient context to determine this person's impact on the field and is structured largely as a cv and reading list rather than a biography. An expert may be able to clarify the signficance of some of the claims made, but the page is also sorely lacking in other key biographical points such as a source for his nationality (I had to extrapolate from the fact that all mentioned businesses and organisations are British) and some indication of his age and place of residence. In the absence of further context I'm not sure this article passes any notability criteria for inclusion as he simply seems to be a collaborator on a number of specialist textbooks (and a few self-published stories) and not much else. Tush! We'll try not to focus on Maswimelleu opening Delete suggestions for figures from a specific political party that is in competition with one for which he makes claims. Instead let's look at some facts, assuming they remain relevant. Internet standardization is probably a niche, and although the IETF is less well-known than it should be, the article is about a person who has held a significant management position in that organization and who has authored a large number of technical standards in that organization. Of course, most biographical articles tend to look like CVs. Additional personal information could be added, but finding authoritative sources for it would be hard, after all, where do you find "evidence" of a date of birth or of nationality? If there are specifics you'd like added, then why not ask for them? If there are citations missing for specific statements, then you can ask for those too. While others might, I honestly don't have the time to make a case against the targeted deletions from Maswimelleu. I'm going to keep this simple. A. Farrel, the subject... the guy wrote like 8 books and outside of a single subject. These aren't free downloadable kindle things... many are books experts pay money for. If authors aren't to go on wiki any more I'm a bit lost. The guy is heavily involved in a multitude of big events. I'm surprised the question was even posed.Drowz0r (talk) 22:09, 23 April 2017 (UTC)

Just noticed the attention request and rather surprised by the superficial claims of the objector. I am currently a Senior Researcher and PhD student in Computing at the University of Lancaster. Adrian Farrel is a significant contributor to telecoms development and Internet technology, and an established leader in his field. In addition to the significant number of IETF publications - facilitating the proliferation of the Internet and ensuring interoperability - he is a co-author of various peer reviewed journals, and keynote speeches at conferences.
