Difference between ImageReady and Photoshop? edit

I'm a little unclear about the difference between ImageReady and Photoshop. What tasks would one or the other be better for? What capabilities does one have that the other doesn't? User:172.146.169.213

I've rewritten and expanded the article a bit to answer this question. —Lowellian (reply) 05:24, 1 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
Photoshop has more features then Imageready, but imagreready has the ability to animate —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 213.202.168.66 (talk) 00:10, 28 December 2006 (UTC).Reply

ImageReady appears to have been removed from the Creative Suite 3 (CS3) product offerings and replaced with Fireworks. --Epkes 08:11, 28 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Can you animate or blend in the new photoshop like you can in imageready? And where do you buy it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.41.187.112 (talk) 17:31, 26 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Image generated by Adobe Photoshop Elements still writes its metadata as "Adobe ImageReady". Very likely it's a fork. 58.152.223.101 (talk) 08:21, 18 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

ImageReady's most popular features have been integrated into Photoshop CS3. As the two applications became more and more alike, there became less reason for them to be separate applications - in doing so there are many advantages to the user (and to remaining in one app.).

== Past tense? == Doh Doh Doh Doh Doh Doh Ad Nils Stinker

Why on earth is this article written in the past tense? This isn't a shopping catalog -- it's an encyclopedia and the software still exists. ptkfgs 01:54, 4 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

I found that rather confusing too. --pred 18:50, 9 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Current Release edit

This is merely a notification that I have changed the current release as it is now CS3 (I know, I have it). webjockey 15:39, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
