Placing description "Kuwait-born Indian" model... in lede, as supported by RS.[1]

Tagging Jjj1238, for purposes of clarity; since you replaced it with "Kuwaiti-Indian."

I am in favor of both descriptions, since she, indeed, was born in Kuwait.

I generally am never supportive of a "[x]-born [x]" lede. If the birth country is relevant enough to be included in the lede then I always support a "[x]-[x]," if not then I would just take Kuwait out of the lede entirely and just leave it as Indian. All her notable contributions come from India anyways. Considering she spent more than half of her life in Kuwait, I would argue that "Kuwaiti-Indian" is appropriate. { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 17:33, 22 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
I initially had "Kuwaiti-Indian" in the lede, but this has been repeatedly reverted/edited out. Anyway, again, I am in favor of any of the two descriptions, as long as her Kuwaiti background is included, since she was born in Kuwait and spent a considerable amount of time there before coming to India. Bri, would like to hear your thoughts on this. Right now, editors, mostly from India, have edited lede to only say "Indian model...." Also, I see some of the sources here are non-RS, including beautypageants.indiatimes.com. Migsmigss (talk) 20:43, 23 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
The best guideline is probably WP:WEIGHT: if sources mention national origins, then we may too, but without over-emphasizing. And as to the second thing, yes, beautypageants.indiatimes.com is self-declared native advertising, and should never be used as a source. In their own words: ETimes is an Entertainment, TV & Lifestyle industry's promotional website and carries advertorials and native advertising.Bri (talk) 23:12, 24 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, Bri. So what are your thoughts on the current lede, where it only states that she's "Indian," and not "Kuwaiti-Indian" or "Kuwait-born Indian?" I am for the last two, but I need your thoughts on this. I've observed many Indian editors or editors coming from India have deleted said description and reverted to simply "Indian." I understand where they're coming from, but we can't disregard the fact that she's born in Kuwait and spent 15 years of her life there, which would necessitate either "Kuwaiti-Indian" or "Kuwait-born Indian" in the lede. Let me know what you think. Thanks. Migsmigss (talk) 04:01, 25 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

I guess you'd need to find a first-rate source that describes her as an Indian-Kuwaiti-Indian or another similar term. I did a spot check on what's in the article and did not see that in a source that I recognize. However I'm not really an expert on all the India media ☆ Bri (talk) 04:16, 25 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Here are some I could find, Bri. Could these be considered "first-rate" or reliable sources?
