Adivi Bapiraju

Hey, Fylindfotberserk. Sesh does come from Adivi Bapiraju's family. He spoke about it while promoting Major and some sources did pick it up. Idlebrain reported this info way back during the US release of Karma (2010), so it should be usable in this case. I could cite other sources but I feel the older sources are better in general for personal info. -- Ab207 (talk) 10:53, 18 June 2022 (UTC)

(edit conflict)@Ab207: I saw this tweet, but the relation is not explained explicitly and Idlebrain is not considered reliable per WP:ICTFFAQ, not to mention this is not an interview either. As for his grandfather, Adivi Gangaraju being a freedom fighter, a Facebook post from his official account mentions it. But, since this is an SPS, I kept the part with a CN tag. I'll restore the part on Adivi Bapiraju, would appreciate WP:ICTFFAQ compliant third party sources for this. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 11:11, 18 June 2022 (UTC)

@Fylindfotberserk: I think Idlebrain was added there without little to no discussion. Unlike some "national" media houses which pick up info related to South Indian cinema from Wiki or other blog sources, Idlebrain actually does its own research. It was brought up at RSN where Kailash29792 and I have felt that it's a good source for Telugu film-related info. -- Ab207 (talk) 11:26, 18 June 2022 (UTC)

@Ab207: Lack of editorial oversight is a problem. Perhaps should build a consensus on it being reliable at WP:ICTF. As for the content itself, you can add these SPS' with a [better source] tag. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 11:34, 18 June 2022 (UTC)

Birth year

@Paradoxodarap: The source used for his DoB [1] dated 17th December 2018 mentions that it was his 34th birthday, so his birth year would be 1984 not 1985. Why are you changing it? If you think that many websites (mostly unreliable) are listing his birth year as 1985, is possibly because they copy it from this Wikipedia page (WP:CIRCULAR), And if you are wondering why it was listed as 1985 before, it was a mistake by me when I listed it as 1985 instead of 1984 when I initially added this very source in 24 August 2019 here. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 16:58, 17 July 2022 (UTC)

@Paradoxodarap: If you keep changing to your preferred version without WP:CONSENSUS here per WP:BRD policy, that too using IPs ([2]) and a userID ([3]) simultaneously, it is not only edit warring, it is sock puppetry also. Secondly, interviews by the subject is not valid per WP:SPS, find a WP:Independent WP:RS pre-2018 source. If you can find one valid source, we'll keep both birth years per general agreement.
