A separate article is generally not written for perpetrators of single crimes per this policy. Recommend that any discussion regarding a separate article take place at talk:Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. — NE Ent 22:05, 15 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Could we refine the category Category:Spree killers to --> American spree killers? Tinton5 (talk) 18:25, 29 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

@Nokia621:- The discussion at Talk:Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting § adam lanza seperate page is divided and has not reached consensus that the perpetrator of the shooting warrants a separate WikiPedia article. Also, the policy referred to above states that "A person who is known only in connection with a criminal event or trial should not normally be the subject of a separate Wikipedia article if there is an existing article that could incorporate the available encyclopedic material relating to that person." I believe deleting the redirect would allow an unapproved draft article, Draft:Adam Lanza, to be promoted to article space. Speedy Deletion is the wrong process to invoke, in any case and the Redirects for Discussion process should be used instead. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 22:56, 17 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Not as divided as you're making it out to be, though. Be fair. Nokia621 (talk) 23:09, 17 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Please explain. I count in favour and oppose to be about half and half. That is hardly a consensus. Besides I think you are also ignoring both WP:BIO1E and WP:PERPETRATOR. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 23:25, 17 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
I explained why there. He supersedes those. Nokia621 (talk) 23:36, 17 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I do not think your explanation at Talk:Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting § adam lanza seperate page supersedes both WP:BIO1E and WP:PERPETRATOR. Neither of these guidelines depend on a person's upbringing, life events, the amount of media coverage or law suits. They look at what the individual did and what their involvement in the crime was. These are high bars to overcome. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 00:08, 18 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
