I understand you do not allow autobiographies, however:
As the current world record holder of the fastest crossing of the Alantic Ocean. I think this short article on who I am is both necessary and beneficial to Wikipedia. The fastest crossing record is the most prestigious (named 'The Blue Riband Trophy' - see http://www.oceanrowing.com/statistics/record_standard.htm) and sought after of all ocean rowing records. The second record, although not as prestigious, still carries importance in the world of ocean rowing. All members of the team have received widespread international publicity from the row. To verify this simply type the name of the boat (Sara G) into Google or YouTube and scan the results. Alternatively choose from any of the crew members of the Sara G in the linked article on ocean rowing and do the same. In the world of ocean rowing this record is a higher achievement than winning an Olympic gold medal in running. To not allow information about the crew would be the same allowing the rules of the 100m sprints but not allowing information on Linford Christie.
We also plan to attempt to break the record on the Indian Ocean in the future. This will further add to the profile of each of the crew members and the boat itself.
In the weeks and months to come I would also add further information on linked pages about the boat, the captain and the rest of the crew.
I have written the piece in a concise way and have backed up the necessary points with references to neutral third party links. I have not added links to my own personal website or to any sponsors. I have added a very brief piece about my education to distinguish myself from two other 'Adam Burke's' that are in the public eye (one is a comedian and the other works in film). I have not detailed any information that I thought unnecessary such as ‘early years’ as is in other biographies.
