New Zealand edit

I removed this line:

and in the universities of New Zealand where it is known as "admission ad eundem statum"

This is incorrect or confusing. Admission ad eundem statum is not the same thing as an ad eundem degree at least as described in this page. It is admission to a NZ University with university entrance/secondary qualifications other then the official New Zealand secondary qualifications (NCEA nowadays although older qualifications are obviously still NZ qualifications). For example, GCE A-level, Australian qualifications etc. These qualifications are recognised as 'equivalent' to the NZ qualifications for entrance purposes. However the university is not awarding you the NZ secondary qualifications, you don't have NCEA or anything of that sort. And this obviously has nothing to do with degree level qualifications Nil Einne 16:15, 26 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Durham edit

I haven't touched the text because I'd have to consult the University Calendars (and they're in Durham and I'm in London); but I don't think that Durham has awarded degrees ad eundem since the approval of the Statutes of 1909: see Charles Whiting's The University of Durham 1832-1932 at p 182. You'd be right on that http://www.archive.org/details/calendar1011durhuoft is an online version of the 1910/1911 calendar and contains a copy of the statutes, which on page 563 states Ad eundem degrees shall no longer be granted.Allialliw (talk) 01:54, 28 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Pronunciation edit

I'd really appreciate someone who knows inserting how to pronounce "eundem" and which syllable gets the stress, unless it turns out to be monosyllabic of course. Dick Kimball (talk) 14:09, 27 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
