Problem about the date : Julian calendar vs Gregorian calendar
editIt seems that the date "8 May 1744" is correct in the Julian calendar, but in the Gregorian, it is "19 May".
The Julian calendar was in use at this time in protestant Great-Britain, but it could be interesting to inform the reader about this fact, which can be confusing, as the French and Japanese pages give "19 May" in their title.

Four or Nine?
editThe action is stated to have taken four hours in the lede and nine hours in a subsequent paragraph. My memory of those times is dim and I cannot recall the exact duration; perhaps an older editor than I may assist? --Pete (talk) 22:57, 29 June 2021 (UTC)
