" During the fermentation portion of vinegar production, the bacteria, Acetobacter aceti is used to act on Acetic Acid resulting in vinegars"

Act *on* acetic acid? Surely it acts on ethanol to produce acetic acid? I think this is potentially a really helpful article mainly authored by someone whose first language is not English, but whose knowledge of Acetobacter aceti exceeds mine. I'm a neophyte in wikipedia terms; how does one offer help in these circumstances? David T 92.6.237.217 (talk) 00:11, 10 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Pink disease

edit

I think that " The main agent within this pink disease happens to be the bacteria" should be deleted as Acetobacter aceti has not been shown to be the causal agent of the pink disease in pineapples but rather Pantoea citrea (see reference below). Also in the "Pink disease in pineapples" section, there is only one reference that does not work [1].... You can also add the following reference: http://www.apsnet.org/publications/apsnetfeatures/Pages/Pineapple.aspx — Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.155.192.89 (talk) 17:08, 15 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
