Spamming Activities

In Australia, Accor has begun a marketing campaign (through its subsiduary APVC Holdings) of sending unsolicited mail to non-customers to promote it's business. It has collected names and addresses by the misuse of Census data to target potential customers. Some people, such as myself consider this to be an abuse of privacy.

Article / not space for Complaints

The same user insists to use this encyclopedia as a space for complaints.

Help from administrators was solicited.

User 80.11.211.230 keep insisting to use this article as a space for complaints. Please see history of this article. Wikipedia is not a hotel guide, a magazine or a newspaper. As he/she put on 12/17/05 .."Wikipedia has a greater reach than many newspapers"...This is not a newspaper. I believe it is one of Wikipedia policies to try to establish neutral articles. So I do not understand the following affirmation " 'Major facts' can be obtained more reliably and up to date from www.accor.com".

I agree, and have removed the comment again. If there was actually any sort of brouhaha about it (e.g. some major newspaper publishing an article with that complaint), then it could be reinserted and properly sourced, but anonymous/uncited complaints don't really belong here. --Delirium 17:18, 17 December 2005 (UTC)

I agree. If he/she can find an article from a major newspaper/media publishing an article with that complaint, he will be free to reinsert comment with appropriate source. Regards Cloretti

Accor has recently announced their new brand image, any chance, as I don't know how, to get their new logo on their article page?

Accor have recently changed their corporate logo, as appears on their website www.accor.com. Would be a good idea to have this changed over on the page. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 124.189.19.216 (talk) 11:31, 2 May 2007 (UTC).

The third man?

Today I had the opportunity to ask Hans-Michael Leise, Managing Director of Accor Hospitality Austria, why the existence of the alleged third founding member, Friedrich-Marbod Meissner (see German or French article), is being concealed in the official version of the company's history. His laconic answer: "wrong information". —Preceding unsigned comment added by Baerenwurm3000 (talkcontribs) 16:53, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Continents?

The text says Accor is on five continents; the map shows it operating on all six habitable continents. Which is correct? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.68.64.74 (talk) 21:48, 27 November 2011 (UTC)

Accor logo?

Hello, there is a new Accor logo as of September 2011. It has been changed on the French version of the page so it should be changed here too. http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fichier:Accor_logo.svg — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hudson456 (talkcontribs) 21:02, 28 November 2011 (UTC)

This is not a "new Accor logo", it is the same logo with a slogan added underneath. Wikipedia's logo guidelines state: "Logos that contain slogans should be omitted in favour of equivalent logos that do not". Furthermore there is no requirement whatsoever that any page on English Wikipedia should match its French counterpart. Gr1st (talk) 21:26, 28 November 2011 (UTC)
Actually, it is a new logo. If you notice, there are two birds in the logo that appears on this page and the new logo has only one bird, Here's a link to the site that describes the change in the identity system: http://www.accor.com/fileadmin/user_upload/Contenus_Accor/Finance/Pressreleases/2011/EN/110913_pr_nouvelle_strategie_marketing_accor.pdf It would be appreciated if you could undo this modification so the page reflects the most accurate information. The logo has been updated, but the slogan has been omitted as per the guideline linked above. Gr1st (talk) 21:59, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
