Abram
editOjo de Agua was the original name. It was named Abram after Abram Dillard who married into Cerda family. He was a Texas Ranger and one of the first Hidalgo County Commissioners. He was not from the founding families that settled there. They were settlers were brought there by the Spaniards. The locals still call it Ojo de Agua. I know this because my ancestors were those settlers. I still live in Ojo de Agua though official name is Abram. Juan Mercado 76.85.25.236 (talk) 02:50, 8 November 2022 (UTC)
