Record - TV Version

About the record played in the TV version: It's definitely Demis Roussos, and they're discussing Demis Roussos quite a lot. I remember this very clearly. There is no mention of Jose Feliciano. I don't know what record was played in the stage version, maybe it's the other way round? /Nicke L 13:43, 13 August 2005 (UTC)

Abigail's Party was released on video long before 2003, I bought a copy from HMV in 1992. The DVD may have been released in 2003....SimonUK 13:33, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

The Dinner Party

Removed the mention of the BBC drama in September 2007 after checking. Before anyone else reinserts it: "The BBC is anxious to scotch the idea that the play is a 30th anniversary update of Mike Leigh’s 1977 classic Abigail’s Party" (The Times) and "With a cast that includes Alison Steadman and the theme of a dinner party, there have been some comments that this is a remake of the Seventies classic, Abigail's Party. 'It's definitely not a remake of Abigail's Party,' replies Tony [Grounds, the writer/director]." No problem, I had heard a BBC continuity presenter refer to it as such a few months ago after a showing of the original "Abigail's Party" then also found it referred to as an "updating" on a BBC webpage. They've obviously done an about-turn on it. Sibruk 13:36, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

Original TV Transmission Date
