I understand this order -- it lists everyone whose name has been transliterated as "Abdul Razak", ending with a "k", and then lists the similar transliterations.

Well, transliterations from Arabic to European languages are highly arbitrary, making the difference between "Razak", "Razaq" etc not particularly meaningful. Other transliterations are possible, straight alphabetical for instance. Or split the list into those individuals who are only - Abdul Razak, or some variation thereof, and those who have other components to their name, and then sorting those two lists alphabetically.

I have a little more problem understanding the reasoning behind splitting those alleged to be terrorists from those not alleged to be terrorists.

Maybe we should discuss the alternative sorting orders?

edit

Abdul Razzaq (Taliban leader in Khandahar) was removed from the page, with an edit summary asserting the removal was according to the manual of style. My understanding is that the manual of style says that redlinks should remain, so long as there is a link to them in at least one real article. So I restored Abdul Razzaq (Taliban leader in Khandahar) to the list. Geo Swan (talk) 13:19, 14 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
