Birthplace?

edit

planning to do some cleanup, but first wanted to clarify his birthplace. sidebar indicates Damascus (possibly a simple confusion as Damascus is apparently where his madhhab flourished) but lede indicates "Baalbeck". Also, if I'm not mistaken the only official spelling of Baalbek with a 'c' added before the 'k' is in the name of the Festival held there. TheNuszAbides (talk) 07:20, 17 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned references in Abd al-Rahman al-Awza'i

edit

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Abd al-Rahman al-Awza'i's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "Saad3":

  • From Uthman: Muhammad ibn Saad. Kitab al-Tabaqat al-Kabir Volume 3. Translated by Bewley, A. (2013). The Companions of Badr. London: TaHa Publishers.
  • From Omar: Muhammad ibn Saad. Kitab al-Tabaqat al-Kabir vol. 3. Translated by Bewley, A. (2013). The Companions of Badr, p. 204. London: Ta-Ha Publishers.
  • From Abdullah ibn Masud: Muhammad ibn Saad. Kitab al-Tabaqat al-Kabir vol. 3. Translated by Bewley, A. (2013). The Companions of Badr. Loon:TaHa Publishers.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 10:37, 9 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
