How did Abd al-Malik al-Muzaffar die? Here it is said that he just died, whereas here it is first stated that he was murdered by Sanchuelo (his stepbrother) in 1008, and just few lines later it says that he was being kept imprisoned in Córdoba in 1009. I was able to find some references, such as this and this where it is said (pages 46-47 and 110 respectively) that he died in 1008 and that Sanchuelo simply followed him, nothing about a murder.
