Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum edit

There is a section in the article that details Abby Rockefeller's contributions to the MOMA, but not a section that details her contributions to the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum in Williamsburg. I think it would be interesting to create such a section to detail the history of Rockefeller's collection of folk art.

Just an update to this, I did add the section that I mentioned above. Though I have to say, I am not fully happy with the headings/organization that I choose. I can't quite put my finger on it, but perhaps they don't seem as concise and fluid as they could be. Any input or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Agreed. It's to do with philanthropy, so it all sounds very laudable. But I think the detail is excessive - low on notability. Valetude (talk) 09:48, 31 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Courtship edit

In the fall of 1894, she met John Davison Rockefeller Jr., the only son of Standard Oil co-founder John Davison Rockefeller Sr. and schoolteacher Laura Celestia "Cettie" Spelman, at a friend's house in Providence.[1] Their long courtship is documented in her engagement books, which were used to formally detail her meetings with potential suitors. In the spring of 1894, they began to share walks together on Sunday afternoons.[2]

The paragraph currently reads as quoted in ital, bolding mine. Does anyone have access to the source to clarify dates? Beginning walks before meeting - amazing feat. Thanks StarM 02:17, 29 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello! Just want to confirm that I was able to get ahold of the resource cited and can confirm that the correct date is spring of 1895. Located on Page 17, in Paragraph 1. Mhamaguchi (talk) 06:37, 18 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
