This article previously was an incorrect redirect to the more general term of an abbot that might serve as the lead monk of a monastery of any faith tradition. The title "Abbot Primate" is much more specific and refers to the elected abbot that serves Benedictinemonks in the Catholic Church as their representative to the Vatican and to the world.
