Long standing practice with regards to V8 Supercar championship results is to only refer to championship results as there are many non-championship races and sometimes several championships within the same year. If this is something you wish to alter I recommend you bring this up at; Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Australian motorsport as would happen in the normal course of events. --Falcadore (talk) 06:44, 29 October 2016 (UTC)

For example, within the same season, there might be AMSCAR or Dunlop Series, or Calder Brock Classic, or Enudrance Championship - and we can't include all of them within one season result can we?

Actually, the Albert Park V8 Supercars Challenge is it's own championship. It has it's own pointscore, where Aaren Russell finished 22nd. --Falcadore (talk) 06:50, 29 October 2016 (UTC)

I see where you are coming from, but, there are many motorsport results boxes that have championship and non championship races. In Superleague Formula, Indycar etc. Even in V8's there are drivers who have been ineligible for points have their results recorded. Championships you refer to like AMSCAR, Calder Brock Classic, Enudrance Championship were multi class events. Dunlop Series is a division 2 series like Nascar XFINITY (Old Busch Cup). The V8's have essentially been going as a formula since the Group 3A days in early 1990's. Happy to discuss more. --Kpaspery (talk) 04:57, 30 October 2016 (UTC)

The Albert Park races have their own pointscore. They are it's own championship, they do not belong to another different championship.

Calder Brock Classic was not a multi-class event, neither was AMSCAR for many of its years. Same with the Gold Coast event prior to becoming part of the V8 Championship. You have the Eastern Creek Triple Challenge too. But now you want to include Albert Park in the results table of the championship despite it never having been done before, or that it contributed to a completely different set of points? There is a multiple failure of logic.

By all means include Albert Park events, but in it's own table recognising its own pointscore. The same as you would if Russell had competed in an AMSCAR series, or a Nissan-Mobil New Zealand series. --Falcadore (talk) 06:52, 30 October 2016 (UTC)

You're now rambling. You yourself, have mandated that the "A Game" V8 Supercars started in 1999 when you edited Geoff Brabham's profile and removed every race he started in a V8 in Feb 2012. Well, that's because they were non-championship races. That's entirely consistent. Albert Park is it's own pointscore and deserves to be recorded as such. Why is that concept difficult to understand? --Falcadore (talk) 03:55, 31 October 2016 (UTC)
