AaAaAA!!! – A Reckless Disregard for Gravity → AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! – A Reckless Disregard for Gravity – There is nothing wrong with articles having long titles, and the original title is the full title of the video game. – Pppery (talk) 02:19, 18 August 2016 (UTC) --Relisting. - After a move initiated by Salvidrim!, there were some additional moves that happened (two, three), so a one-week RM to gain consensus should be able to settle this. (permalink). — Andy W. (talk · ctb) 18:40, 18 August 2016 (UTC)
- Remain at AaAaAA!!! - Per the WP:CONCISE policy, all else being equal, avoiding unnecessarily lengthy titles is what we should do. Both titles meet our policy of precision, disambiguation and recognizability, but the longer one fails conciseness. The shorter form is also appropriately supported by references. ☺ · Salvidrim! · ✉ 22:39, 18 August 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose - No reason to have a lengthy title when the abbreviated one is more than sufficient. –Davey2010Talk 19:07, 25 August 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose, and move to Aaa! A Reckless Disregard for Gravity, for the above reasons, and per MOS:TM, MOS:CAPS: We do not apply "wild and wacky" marketing stylizations to mimic the logos and covers of things. A quick search shows that reliable sources (e.g. gaming publications, etc.) do not at all treat this title consistency as to number of As, number of !s, capitalization, etc.. Thus, we should go with the minimal version that conveys the nature of the title, without trying parrot logo stylization that only exists to "GRAB ATTENTION WITH SCREAMING!!!". PS: The use of a dash in this construction is pointlessly redundant, and use of a hyphen here would be wrong per MOS:DASH, even if it weren't redundant. — SMcCandlish ☺ ☏ ¢ ≽ʌⱷ҅ᴥⱷʌ≼ 20:50, 30 August 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose, like all-caps screeching. Where is your own boundary, Omni? Would you go along with an "original" title that is
500255 characters long? Tony (talk) 01:22, 31 August 2016 (UTC)- @Tony1: Well, titles cannot be longer than 255 characters for technical reasons. Pppery (talk) 01:44, 31 August 2016 (UTC)
