Can we identify the artworks depicted?

Philip Hermogenes Calderon, A Woodland Nymph, 1883

Are there any sources identifying any of the artworks depicted in this painting? It apparently shows the jury at the 1883 Salon, so perhaps 1883 paintings?

Most are turned away or obscured, and there is not much to see in the (?)landscape, but the main picture of a standing female nude subject, with hands raised and green background, is reminiscent of a Venus Anadyomene or Birth of Venus. It looks quite like this nymph, sold at at Sotheby's in 2007 (albeit reflected, the hair is slightly different, and it seems to have a more elaborate frame now). Did Calderon submit it for the 1883 Salon? 213.205.240.242 (talk) 08:52, 13 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
