Alterations to the novel edit
The info I added regarding the alterations made by the film Compared to the novel should be added in again in my opinion, as the changes are so drastic and deviate from the source material immensely. In case this is not the right place for this section, I suggest the info could be added in the article of the original novel, where there is also already a section on changes made by the British television adaption from a few years ago. Bartell655 is correct. In fact, he or she is understating the case. The plot of the movie has no connection whatever to the book, except a few of the character names.
