I'm not sure how to properly start off a discussion, never having done this before, and I don't want to start serious edits to the article when I don't know how. The formatting of this article is significantly different from other Christie articles, and inferior because of this.

I found Image:AgathaChristie ACaribbeanMystery.jpg and noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. Someone will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If it was obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. In the book, or movie?

I admit to having not read the actual book. I'm a Christie fan, but this one has been missed. That said, I have a question. I just saw the movie, the 1989 version to be exact. One important clue to Miss Marple was the fact that Mr. Rafiel's heir was Esther. He had lied earlier which was very upsetting to Miss Marple. She says something about immediacy before yet another murder (it sounds like she was talking of a third murder) is committed. I took this to mean that there was a plan between Esther and Tim to murder Mr. Rafiel. As a movie, it's not as clear as it is in a book. For that matter, that side-plot may not have been an issue in the book, but if this is the case, I think it should belong here. Don't you? I'd prefer not to write it myself because I don't have the print version. If anyone wishes to take a stab, I think it would be a good idea. MagnoliaSouth ^(talk) 02:35, 11 October 2011 (UTC)

"detective"

Is this the right word for Miss Marple's role? She's the protagonist of the book, and she figures it out, so she detected things, but I'm not sure about the word 'detective' here. --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 18:32, 15 October 2015 (UTC)

Not sure what you mean. She is referred to as one of Agatha Christie's detectives, sleuths, solvers of crimes. If you have a large issue with novels featuring Miss Marple being detective crime novels, perhaps it is better to take it up at Miss Marple the article on the character, or in the article on the author. If you do not like this particular novel, then what is it that stops you from calling her a detective? She is the one who solves the mystery of who murdered her newly made friend on the Caribbean island, and her success motivated Jason Rafiel to give her a commission to solve another mystery, which is the plot ofNemesis. The Thirteen Problems might be more persuasive to you, that she is a character in fiction who is a detective, with her own style and base of information. --Prairieplant (talk) 06:08, 16 October 2015 (UTC)
