Is MNG really a competitor? edit

I believe the third paragraph would more accurately describe APNG as a successor or replacement for MNG, not a competitor to it.

My reasons are:

  • Despite being called "Multi-image Network Graphics", no current browsers support MNG
  • The only browsers MNG was supported in were Netscape & Firefox
  • Mozilla, the makers of Firefox, created APNG as a replacement for MNG

Yes, I think this should be better reflected in the article. Benimation (talk) 14:41, 28 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hack edit

The simplicity of the format, plus the Specification Revisions, gives a feeling it's just a quick hack of PNG.
Should we mention this ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Musaran (talkcontribs) 19:22, 23 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

List of computer programs and their support of APNG, along with their version numbers and release date edit

The table does not yet list ImageMagick. Can someone add whether ImageMagick supports this or not please? 2A02:8388:1602:6D80:C080:419D:679D:C9F8 (talk) 17:12, 15 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
