Mixed information edit

This page seems to be a mishmash of information about ANZ the bank brand in NZ (www.anz.co.nz) and ANZ National Bank Limited, the parent company in NZ (owned by ANZ Group in Aus) that includes the following brands/JVs: ANZ, The National Bank, UDC Finance, EFTPOS New Zealand, Bonus Bonds and a joint venture with ING NZ. Fraud edit

i m getting a email from anz {euro} saying that i ve won the lottery drawing for a million dollars. is this real or just another fraud to try to get personal information from me. thank you for your response. 24.154.151.79 (talk) 05:17, 19 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Any email telling you that you have won money in a lottery that you have never entered is a fraud. See Advance-fee fraud. Acad Ronin (talk) 15:57, 19 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Criticism section edit

I've moved the information on the Roger Awards here from Australia and New Zealand Banking Group in agreement with User:Cj au (previous talk page), as the awards are clearly for New Zealand businesses only. I've tagged the section as a duplicate (specifically of Roger Award) for lack of a better template because the information here is already available at that page and seems too long for a relatively unknown award, especially considering the award is explained at the top of the Criticism section. Comments? Rimmington01 (talk) 09:10, 10 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

I think it is important to keep criticism related to ANZ on this page. Also, the Roger Award page does not detail the criticism towards ANZ specifically. Philipp.governale (talk) 05:24, 6 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

ANZ New Zealand or ANZ Bank New Zealand? edit

With the National Bank merging with ANZ National Bank, this page will obviously have to move on 1 November - that's because the legal name of the company will change from ANZ National Bank Limited to ANZ Bank New Zealand Limited.

Here's the question - where does it get moved to? Does it get moved to ANZ Bank New Zealand or just ANZ New Zealand. I have created the former as a redirect page to this page, with the latter already existing as a redirect.

If there's no comments here, I'll move it to ANZ Bank New Zealand on 1 November, given that will be the legal name of the company. Danielfarrellnzl (talk) 14:16, 26 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Given ANZ is now using the new name (see copyright notice a the bottom of their website, will make the move now. Danielfarrellnzl (talk) 00:36, 28 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Size of parent's shareholding edit

What percentage of its shares are owned by its parent, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group? Nurg (talk) 07:54, 27 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

I believe 75% is owned by the parent company and 25% is publicly owned[1], though I am not fully sure because I have struggled to find information on this. Philipp.governale (talk) 04:41, 7 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Any information I have encountered in further research, however makes it look like it is fully owned by ANZ Banking Group. I wonder when those public shares were bought. Philipp.governale (talk) 23:41, 12 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Subsidiaries section edit

I don't think this section needed as the information is presented in the history section. Any comments? Philipp.governale (talk) 05:53, 7 September 2020 (UTC)

I have added a new section (Ownership) so I think this should be resolved. Let me know if there are any comments with the change in structure Philipp.governale (talk) 23:40, 12 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
