Talk:ALBA Graduate Business School

It would be necessary for somebody knowledgeable to state the legal status of this institute. It appears in the lists and categories of Greek universities, however its statutes make it unlikely that it is officially a Greek university. Someone should add an explanatory sentence to this effect.alx_bio 14:58, 15 December 2005 (UTC)

Although this response comes too late, please be informed that: according to the Greek Constitution only state universities are permitted to operate in the country and ALBA is not one. If one takes a closer look at the list of Greek universities, they will see that ALBA appears in a listing under the heading "Private institutions". Any private higher education institutions that exist in Greece operate - at least as of today - with a different legal status (e.g. as Educational Centers, or as Laboratories of Liberal Studies, run either as purely greek institutions or with the method of franchising as branches of foreign universities). In any case their degrees are not recognized by the Greek state as degrees of higher education. Ioanab 00:07, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
