Has the AK-47 been used during the Suez Crisis by Egypt?

I have tried to add the Suez Crisis in the lists of conflicts because there is a image of them being used by the Egyptians, however it got removed.

this image is also included in the Arabic wikipedia of the Suez Crisis:

Just asking if it is confirmed and if anyone knows that the Egypt used AKs at this time.

In the first paragraph the Term "Assault Rifle" is used. This is a media term, not a type of rifle. I suggest changing it to "Select-Fire" or "Battle" rifle.

The term "Assault Rifle" is made up term by the US mainstream media to throw any select fire or semi auto rifle based on military designs into an area of emotional fear. There is not a single legal definition of assault rifle. Please change the terminology, as it has no legal basis. There is enough irrational fear of firearms already. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.76.230.184 (talkcontribs)

Are you referring to the military designation of an Assault rifle, or the mainstream media terminology of Assault weapon? - Adolphus79 (talk) 09:46, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
The latter, I guess. Basically, "Sturmgevehr" in Deutsch, erm, German means that. However, the article mentions Norinco imported guns, which are not automatic, but "look like "assault weapon". 2A00:1FA0:46E9:E36E:0:56:2AED:2501 (talk) 20:27, 9 January 2022 (UTC)

"Rust colored" mags

I think the "rust-colored" mags could use a link to Rust_(color). Thanks in advance. 81.89.66.133 (talk) 15:14, 29 March 2022 (UTC)

Add the UK to users

The UK has thousands of AKs for training and familiarisation and recently bought a load more to train Ukrainian troops 2A00:23C3:AC82:8401:2DE9:FE5E:4432:778F (talk) 18:53, 1 August 2022 (UTC)

Do you have a reliable source for this information? - Adolphus79 (talk) 19:23, 1 August 2022 (UTC)

Add 1960s conflict where AK-47 saw widespread use

The Sino-Soviet Border Conflict of 1969 saw use of the AK-47, and should be added to the list. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sino-Soviet_border_conflict 169.253.162.2 (talk) 04:03, 12 August 2021 (UTC)

Do you have any reliable sources?

A request to add something to "See also"

I think "See also" needs some of these:

  • AK-74 (Subsequent, rechambered "automatic")
  • AKS
  • something about civilian semi-auto guns which look like AK
  • something about AK-based pistols

Thanks for not bunching AK74 and AK47 together in one article, by the way 2A00:1FA0:46E9:E36E:0:56:2AED:2501 (talk) 20:37, 9 January 2022 (UTC)

Typically, links that are in the main article aren't repeated in the "See also" section. AK-74 is linked a couple times in the article.
Also, there isn't an article for the AKS. The disambiguation page you linked to lists the AKS as "a variant of the AK-47 assault rifle".

Add Argentina to users

Argentina uses AK platform rifles in a limited way, some special forces use the Type'56 Variant for familiarization and combat, it has been seen in use by the 603 Commando Company. Gugugaga123 (talk) 21:08, 12 December 2022 (UTC)

Do you have a reliable source we can use for this content? - Adolphus79 (talk) 22:32, 12 December 2022 (UTC)
Yes, I do count with reliable sources to add Argentina to the AK platform users.
