Fair use rationale for Image:Slipknot90.jpg

edit

Image:Slipknot90.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:41, 6 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Band Personel

edit

I added a personel section to the article, because it is one of the requirements of a good article. I used the same info that was listed on Vol 3. (with the exception of Joey playing the bass, which I don't believe he does live). If there are any differences / additions please correct them. Thank You! Blackngold29 (talk) 16:21, 16 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

The credits of the band that is listed in the CD booklet are as follows:
SLIPKNOT
  • no. 0 SID
  • no. 5 133
  • no. 1 JOEY
  • no. 7 MICK
  • no. 2 PAUL
  • no. 8 COREY
  • no. 4 JAMES
  • no. 6 CLOWN
  • no. 3 CHRIS
should the credits be listed as this instead, only nicknames, without instruments? Blackngold29 (talk) 16:49, 16 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

You should list the instruments b/c a lot of people don't know what member does what, even some fans. Dark Executioner (talk) 23:35, 2 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

GA Review

edit

This review is transcluded from Talk:9.0: Live/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.

  • "9.0: Live is the first live album released by American metal band Slipknot. It was released on 1 November, 2005 by Roadrunner Records" - can you not use released twice? maybe just "first live album by American band..."?
    • Done
  • "The album was recorded during the band's world tour in support of their third studio album Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses) from 2004 to 2005." - commas around the album title, delink the years
    • Done
  • Every sentence in the lead starting with "the album" isn't pretty...
    • Done
  • Rolling Stone needs italics throughout (magazine; MOS:ITALICS).
  • Try and include all the reviews in the reception section in the infobox and vice versa.
  • "which was removed from Slipknot due to copyright reasons" - "due to copyright reasons" is poor wording... perhaps "due to copyright issues" (the "due" and "reasons" are somewhat redundant)
    • Done
  • Check italics for PopMatters.
    • Done
  • http://www.musicomh.com/albums/slipknot_1105.htm says it's rarely played live, not that it's never been played live ("as well as the first ever live performance of "Skin Ticket""). It also doesn't mention "Iowa" despite being the ref used for that statement.

And please leave me a note when done. Cheers, —Giggy 07:03, 11 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
