Sessions

edit

By the dates, the information on sessions seems wrong. The "special session" was the traditional special session of the senate to confirm Roosevelt's appointments, lasted only three days (March 4-6), and could not pass legislation because the House hadn't met or organized yet. Roosevelt also called congress to assemble in an emergency session in March, and that passed the laws noted, but also stayed in session until June and passed all the legislation we say was passed by the supposedly distinct "first session." john k (talk) 17:28, 25 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Communications Act of 1934

edit

I am not familiar with editing Wikipedia... but I think the list of Major Legislation should include the Communications Act of 1934, which created the Federal Communications Commission and which (with many amendments) defines communications regulation in the United States.
