710th Combat Operations Squadron
editIn 2004, the 710th was reactivated by the US Air Force Reserve Command as the 710th Combat Operations Squadron. It has been serving in that role since that time, and is the primary USAFR support to the 609th Air Operations Center (along with a US Air National Guard squadron). In that period, it has recieved several unit awards for its service and support.
As such, I am proposing ammending the article to include this information without removing any of the historical information. This is in line with other articles on Wikipedia such as that on the 10th Intelligence Squadron. I will wait a couple weeks before making the changes. Questions or comments? I have made the changes. Jlr3001 (talk) 12:09, 10 June 2021 (UTC)
@Jlr3001: And I have reversed them. The 710th Airlift Squadron was not redesignated the 710th Combat Operations Squadron. The 710th Combat Operations Squadron was a newly constituted unit that was consolidated with a Cold War radar squadron and has no relation to the 710th Airlift Squadron.
