Does/did the .22 savage really have a 1:12 twist? This would be a little bit too long for the typical 71 grs bullet. All .22 Savage / 5.6x52R rifles I have ever seen had twist rates between 1:10 and 1:11 ...--82.83.56.94 (talk) 08:43, 15 January 2012 (UTC)
.22 Savage edit
CIP specs lists the Savage and the 5.6x52R as separate cartridges with small differences in dimensions as well as a difference in nominal twist rate. It would be useful to discuss these differences in the article.
Article Name edit
Since the .22 Savage was the original and the 5.6x52R the copy, I think this article should be named after the Savage with the 5.6 redirecting to it, not the other way around.
