Am I right in thinking that the Paratroopers Brigade were the unit responsible for capturing Jerusalem in 1967, and that there is a memorial to that battle outside the northern walls of Jerusalem? DJ Clayworth 18:25, 10 Feb 2004 (UTC)

Yes, you are correct. The Paratroopers Brigade took part in the capture of Jerusalem along with the Jerusalem Brigade and Harel Brigade. The Paratroopers were the ones to liberate the Western Wall and Temple Mount. I think I might add it to the article. MathKnight 19:54, 3 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Maroon beret

Do they wear a red beret, or is it actually maroon? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ng.j (talkcontribs) 16:44, 22 February 2007 (UTC).

merge with Gadasr

The gadsar article is non-referenced and I doubt that anything substantial or notable can be found about it to justify a seperate article. --Shuki (talk) 19:16, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

I Agree. --dashiellx (talk) 10:57, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

Disambiguated title?

Why was this title disambiguated? Are there other units in the world specifically called (in English) Paratroopers Brigade? If there are similarly-named units or brigades with similar functions (but a different name), the title should be returned to simply Paratroopers Brigade. A hatnote is easy enough to add. -- Ynhockey (Talk) 19:33, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Units names mismatch

Under units, it says "101st "Python" Airborne Battalion" however the image on the left says "Cobra". Which one is it? --CyberXRef 01:45, 26 January 2014 (UTC)

Paratroopers or Airborne

An anonymous editor changed all instances of "Paratroopers" to "Airborne". The title of the article is "Paratroopers Brigade", and the editor didn't change that.

This unit is widely, commonly, and for a long time known as "Paratroopers Brigade" in English. While "Airborne" and "Paratroopers" are synonymous, the unit itself was modeled on the British Army unit, which is known as the Parachute Regiment, and not the Airborne Regiment.

If the anonymous editor still wants to make this change, please make your case here for why you would do so. But note that the IDF website itself refers to the unit as "Paratroopers".
