Re: Astronomical predictions: A 90% arc is not particularly interesting. Could you mean a 90-degree arc? That would be very interesting.

Many of the quincentennials listed are not very important
The odds that anyone in 2499 who isn't a historian is going to know or care that 500 years before the Panama Canal was transferred to Panamanian control is very very small. Same with the Falklands and the end of apartheid - why not also list Vietnam, Korea, the final disintegration of the British empire, the first spaceflights, finding of the theory of relativity, or any of of a hundred other events of the 20th century.
In fact the only events listed that I would (personally) consider likely to be of interest to someone 500 years from now is the first flight and the Holocaust. IMO the list should be struck entirely, perhaps replaced by a comment that all important events of the 20th_century will see their quincentennials in the 25th century.

Launching of Sputnik I
Should the launching of Sputnik I be included in the quincentennials? Because in 2457, it will be the 500th anniversary of when Sputnik I was launched into space. It should say under Quincentennials that:

No. it doesn't
Star Fox takes place in the Lylat system and never even mentions Earth or Earth chronology. No developer or official source has ever claimed SF takes place during this century. Can this be removed, please? 107.216.166.91 (talk) 05:58, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
